Post-Construction Cleaning Services
Construction leaves behind more than just a finished product. Drywall dust settles into every corner, adhesive residue clings to floors and windows, debris hides in unexpected places, and surfaces that look clean are often coated in fine particulate you can't see until the light hits it wrong.
Post-construction cleaning is a specialized job and it's one we do well.
CML Cleaning Services provides post-construction cleaning for new builds, full renovations, room remodels, and commercial construction projects throughout Lafayette and surrounding areas. We work with homeowners, general contractors, builders, and property managers to get the space move-in ready.
Rough Clean (Post-Build Debris Removal)
Before any surface polishing happens, we clear out the construction mess.
This includes sweeping up large debris, removing material scraps, collecting trash, and disposing of materials left by the crew. Floors, stairs, and subfloor areas are swept and cleared. Windows are cleaned of adhesive stickers and protective film.
This phase is typically done while the construction crew is still wrapping up or immediately after they've left.
Who We Work With

Homeowners
Had a kitchen remodeled, a bathroom gut job, or an addition built? We come in after the contractors are done and before you start living in the space.

General Contractors
& Builders
We work on your timeline and coordinate directly with your project schedule. A clean handover reflects on your reputation as much as ours.

Property Managers & Real Estate Investors
Renovation flips and rental rehabs need a clean that makes the property show well. We deliver that.

Why Post-Construction Cleaning Is Different
Standard cleaning products and techniques aren't always the right tools for a construction environment. Drywall dust is extremely fine and becomes airborne again easily. Paint overspray, caulk residue, and adhesive require specific removal methods. Scratching or damaging newly installed surfaces is a real risk when the wrong approach is used.
Our team is experienced with post-construction environments. We know how to work efficiently without damaging new finishes, and we understand what builders and inspectors expect when they walk through.
What Post-Construction Cleaning Covers
This isn't a standard house clean. Construction sites require a systematic approach that goes through multiple phases to clear debris, remove residue, and finish with a detail clean that makes the space feel new.
Phase 1
Before any surface polishing happens, we clear out the construction mess. This includes sweeping up large debris, removing material scraps, collecting trash, and disposing of materials left by the crew. Floors, stairs, and subfloor areas are swept and cleared. Windows are cleaned of adhesive stickers and protective film.
This phase is typically done while the construction crew is still wrapping up or immediately after they've left.
Phase 2
Detail Clean
Once debris is cleared, we do a thorough detail clean of every surface in the space. This is where post-construction cleaning gets intensive — drywall dust gets into cabinets, HVAC vents, window tracks, baseboards, and every horizontal surface. We work through the space methodically to make sure nothing is missed.
What's included in the detail clean:
-
All surfaces wiped down — walls, ceilings, baseboards, and trim
-
Window interiors — glass, frames, tracks, and sills
-
Inside all cabinets and drawers
-
Appliances cleaned inside and out (if installed)
-
All fixtures — light fixtures, ceiling fans, and hardware
-
Bathrooms fully sanitized — tile, grout, fixtures, and floors
-
HVAC vent covers removed and cleaned
-
All hard floors swept, vacuumed, and mopped
-
Carpet vacuumed and spot treated (if applicable)
Phase 3
Final Walkthrough Clean
Right before handover — to the homeowner, buyer, or tenant — we do a final pass to catch anything that's been disturbed by finishing trades (painters, electricians, flooring crews) or has settled after the detail clean. This is the clean that makes the space photo-ready and move-in ready.
